Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park consists of 1500 acres that spreads across three counties.

On the banks of the Roupes Creek in 1830, a Pennsylvania furnaceman built a bloomery forge at Tannehill among the richest deposits of brown ore he had ever seen.

The park has numerous historical buildings and the hiking trails retrace the first historic roadways into the area.
